Description
This is a fascinating two-session workshop series with a separate open performance
by the participants. It will help your children to learn how to express their inner
feelings and build their self confidence.
They will learn:
• The Creative process and poetry
• Different styles of poetry
• Finding your poetic voice
• Writing
• Editing
• Performing
Participants will MC, decorate and perform in public at the final session.
Target Group
8 - 13 years old.

3 days, 10 - 12 pm, August 5 - 7
Pre-requisites
An interest in poetry and/or writing.
Teacher’s Bio
Ariadne Sawyer,
M.A. (C. P.) is a Creativity Consultant who specializes
in enhancing performance and creative projects. She has worked with poets, writers,
musicians, screenwriters and performers from Canada, the US and Europe. She has
been a teacher and has directed two schools. Ariadne is the co-founder and co- host
of The World Poetry Reading Series, World Poetry Café Radio Show, The World Poetry
Electronic Newsletter with over 300 poets from 61 countries including a strong Canadian
presence.
