The Arts Council organizes
an exciting art rental program, where quarterly exhibitions of
original works available for sale or rental.
What kind of art works are
for rent?
Traditional and contemporary works by
local artists
in a variety of mediums. They are beautifully mounted and framed, ready
to hang in your home or business.
How much do they cost?
The rental fee is calculated by taking 2% of the value
of the art work, up to a maximum of $10 per month, and multiplying by
the number of months of the rental.
Who receives the money for the art rental?
The artists receives 80% of the rental fee. The Arts
Council retains the remaining 20% and a yearly donation is made to the Arts Council Scholarship Fund.
Are there any other charges?
There is a small annual membership fee to join
the Arts Council. Members of the Arts Council receiver a newsletter and
brochures relating to Council activities.
Can I keep the paintings longer than the rental period?
If you want to keep the paintings for another rental
period you will be invoiced. The Arts Council pays the artist after each
rental, relying on your word to pay on time.
What if I decide to buy the painting?
The selling of the painting is the value that the
artist has stipulated, minus one rental fee, plus 7.5% PST.
Business Rentals
For business clients, the rental payment and purchase
price are tax deductible.
Rent-to-Own.
If you wish you
may use our "rent-to-own" option. The artwork is valued by the artist.
The price, minus one rental fee, plus 7.5% PST is divided into equal payments
with 5% interest charge factored in.

Payments may be made over three, six, or twelve month
periods. The first installment is due immediately and the second and third
